Rogers Community Auction & Flea Market is a vibrant and varied work environment encompassing a variety of needs throughout the seasons – and even the day! The auction and flea market are two distinctly separate, yet overlapping, enterprises. The auction is both hands-on and high tech. The flea market is a major tourist attraction. The ideal Rogers Team Members are able to multi-task in a fast paced environment, communicate effectively among themselves and with customers, and meet the demands of serving buyers, sellers, and the public.
Customer Service, Cashier & Office
- General knowledge of computers, email, and the use of the internet is required. Team members will be trained in specific computer programs
- Answering and directing telephone and providing information to callers as needed
- Reservations and payments from flea market vendors and auction and flea market customers via telephone, email, and in-person
- Balancing a cash drawer
- Data entry associated with the administration of the auction and flea market
- Hours may be seasonal or as needed. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required
Facilities, Maintenance & Equipment Operator
- Mowing, trimming, trash removal, snow removal, spreading gravel, operation of heavy equipment, painting, and related maintenance
- Cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, vendor buildings, fencing, related infrastructure, and other duties as needed
- Loading and unloading of auction items large and small
- Applicants must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Hours may be seasonal or as needed. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required
Auction Assistant & Clerk
- Team members will be trained to use specific auction software
- Assisting consignors and buyers in auction processes and protocol
- Tagging and photographing auction items
- Clerking for online and live in-person auctions using computers and pen and paper
- Must be able to remain focused in a fast-paced environment
- Applicants must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Hours may be seasonal or as needed. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required
